INDIANAPOLIS - If you've never been inside of Lucas Oil Stadium, Google Maps' new interactive imagery service brings the home of the Indianapolis Colts to a smartphone, tablet or laptop near you.
Lucas Oil Stadium is the first NFL stadium to have a 360 degree virtual tour showcase that allows fans to "march" out of the tunnel and down the field,? just like Colts players do every season.? Fans may also explore the Colts' locker room, the stadium's tri-level concourses and three suites.
?The Colts organization is honored to have Lucas Oil Stadium selected by Google Maps to be the first sports venue featured in a 360-degree interactive photo tour,? said Colts Chief Operating Officer Pete Ward. ?This imagery gives us the opportunity to share our home, an award winning state-of-the-art facility, with Colts fans around the world.?
Lucas Oil Stadium opened in 2008 as the home of the Indianapolis Colts and already boasts an impressive resume having hosted events such as Super Bowl XLVI, the NFL Scouting Combine, the 2011-2015 Big Ten Football Championship Games and the NCAA Men?s Final Four Basketball Championships (2010 and 2015).
To access the images of Lucas Oil Stadium, simply type ?Lucas Oil Stadium? or ?Colts Stadium? into Google Search or Google Maps. You can also view the images through the Colts website here:
