Getting more from a smartphone camera ? Business Management ...

By Kimberly Deas

With cameras in every smartphone, taking pictures is easier than ever. But unless you are a trained photographer, your pictures might not be as sharp and crisp as you would like.

To get the best possible pictures with your smartphone, follow these tips:

  • Keep your lens clean. Before taking pictures, take a moment to clean the lens for the best possible picture.
  • Use HDR mode in difficult lighting to get good color (turn on more lights to create better lighting).
  • Keep still. Hold your phone with two hands to reduce blur.
  • Avoid using zoom. It adds ?noise? to the picture. Instead get closer to the subject.
  • Don?t delete mistakes. With an effect or two your ?bad? picture might just be great. ?

You can make them better with some of these mobile apps:

  • Filterstorm: With support for up to five layers at a time, this app is as powerful as a PC-based editor.
  • Camera+: Get help taking pictures with the built-in stabilizer and grid, and then edit the photos and choose from several built-in borders.
  • PicsplayPro: This app offers 200 professional presets that let you make every picture perfect.
  • PicSay Pro: Some features of this Android app include: remove red eye, make black and white and add color or add word balloons.

Of course, with the small screens that some smartphones have, you might find editing to be more effective on your computer or tablet.
